Ita Fort

#4 of 6 things to do in Yupia

Itanagar the capital of Arunachal Pradesh is named after Ita Fort, a position of most extreme chronicled significance to the state. It is truly interpreted from the Ahom language as 'fort of blocks'. It was worked in the fourteenth or fifteenth century and the all-out brickwork comprises of 16,200 cubic meters of length. Ita Fort has three doorways, each on the West, the East and the South and the fort is accepted to have been worked by lord Mayapur of Ramachandra, from the Jitari Dynasty. Ita Fort's case as a position of verifiable significance can't be questioned; anyway, as far as being a visitor goal it is misrepresented. Roasted over a hill, cut by a precarious bluff, on one side the perspective of the valley from here is surprising.
