Yercaud is a beautiful hill station, which is in Salem District of Tamil Nadu, India. The hill station falls under the Shevaroy Range of hills of Eastern Ghats. Yercaud means Lake Forest, the name signifying the Lake of this breathtaking hill station that is surrounded with forest. Yercaud is said to be the topmost hill station during summer, mostly for the South People, due to its altitude of 1515 m. Day 1: Landing in Salem Airport, start the drive in a hired cab through the scenic Western Ghats towards Yercaud. Get checked in on your pre-book hotel for the abode of your night. Finish your lunch and start your trip by visiting the Killiyur Falls to see the cascading waterfalls, spending an hour there go to Lady’s Seat for the panoramic view. Later get back to the city and lazed the afternoon visiting the Yercaud Lake and boating in it. Finish your day by dinning a local cuisine.
Day 2: Getting an early breakfast, plan your first destination to the Pagoda View Point, to get the early morning hill view, spend few worthwhile minutes more in the area and visit the Ann Park and Orchidarium to see the mesmerizing flowers in its full bloom.
