Gopishvar Mahadev Temple

#1 of 7 things to do in Vrindavan

Gopishvar Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, who is worshipped in the temple in the form of a Gopika. In this temple the shivaling is dressed as a woman with a silk saree and a nose ring. However the shivaling is worshipped in this form only in the evening, in the morning it is worshipped as it is. Pilgrims generally should visit during the evening hours when the deity is adorned.
