Jaisamand Lake

#10 of 12 things to do in Udaipur

The beautiful Jaisamand Lake is the second largest artificial lake in India. It was the summer palace of the Queens of Udaipur. Set in the backdrop of amazing Aravalli hills, Jaisamand Lake is a beauty to watch. It translates to 'Ocean of Victory', which was built in around the 17th century. More often than not people do not tend to believe that this is an artificial lake. The natural construction makes it look like it has been there for years.

The clear blue water strikes a great contrast from the hills. Boating is quite popular here. There are 3 islands in the lake as well.

No entry fees.
