Udaipur Tourism

No less than a Royal Paradise on earth, Udaipur is India's one of the most sought after destinations. Like Akbar's court which had 'navratnas' or the nine gems, Udaipur is among India's navratnas. Ideal for a weekend, a lot of people from neighbouring places visit Udaipur t enjoy there weekend. For ages, Udaipur has retained its royal flavour which a lot of other places have lost. If Royalty and extravaganza was a subject, this gem of a city would have always stood first.

What makes Udaipur so special is that being so old and historical, Udaipur is still very traditional at heart. It offers life-changing experiences. The number of international tourists here is humongous. From every corner of the world prefer Udaipur for the class it has. Not everyone is born with Royal blood rushing in their veins, but everybody deserves to be treated like royalty, and Udaipur does exactly just that! It still follows a lot of old customs and traditions, which create an unmatchable vibe.

Udaipur has been given a lot of titles, some of them being 'Venice of the East', 'Rajasthan's Kashmir', and none of them is deniable, and all of this magic can be felt only when in Udaipur!

Udaipur through the ages

Udaipur is very very historical having seen many empires and emperors through the time. The most prominent of all has been the legend of Maharana Pratap. This primarily why it has n number of forts, temples, and artificial lakes. It was founded in 1558 by Maharana Udai Singh II of the Sisodia clan of Rajput when he shifted his capital from the city of Chittorgarh to Udaipur after Chittorgarh was besieged by Akbar.

Today Udaipur is almost a metropolis, given the demands of today's generations, but still, the historical monuments add value to the city as this is what people come for. It provides an escape from reality once in a while, and everybody deserves to have that opportunity!
