Ettalyapuram Palace is located at 35 km away from Tuticorin city. This legendary palace was built in 1565 and once ruled by the King of Ettapan who use to collect taxes for the Pandya Kings. This mesmerizing enormous white stone palace with the cultural history of Tamils depicting in its architecture shown in its circular domes, intricate floral carvings on the walls and pillars and stone lion turrets is still in its former glory. The Palace mansion is uninhabited but you might find lots of peacocks in its compound that flocks around this ancient art of heritage.
