It is the sacred place in River Krishna and is near to Srisailam Mallikarjuna Temple.  People visit here to take a dip in the holy water of River. This river is believed to have many healing properties which cure skin diseases. Several pilgrims take bath in River Krishna at Pathala Ganga before visiting the deity of Srisailam Temple.  From the Hanuman Temple around a downhill pathway with almost 500 steps path need to be climbed down to reach Pathala Ganga. This stepped pathway was built by Reddy King Prolaya Vema Reddy in the 14th century.

Boating and ropeway are available here. Speedboats are also available (duration - 5 minutes). 

Boating Timings: 9 AM to 5 PM.

Ropeway Timings: 6 AM to 5: 30 PM.
