This shrine of Lord Shiva, is located in the foothills of Nallamala Hills, 5km away from Srisailam town. Lord Shiva is worshipped as “Shiv Ling” in this temple. It is believed that by seeking the blessing of the Sri Hatakeswara Swamy, a form of Lord Shiva, devotees can get rid of various diseases. This temple is known by the name of Atikeswaram, from the word Atika, meaning a piece of pot. Legends say that Lord Shiva appeared before a potter pleased by his devotion. This temple also holds to be the place where Sri Sankaracharya wrote one of his philosophical texts.

Temple Timings are from 6 AM to 9 PM, it is open on all days of the week.
