Bhramaramba Devi Temple

#2 of 12 things to do in Srisailam

Built on the southern banks of River Krishna, over the Nallamala hills the temple is dedicated to  Devi Bhramaramba (an incarnation of Goddess Parvati). At a distance of 1 km from Srisailam Bus Station, the Bhramaramba Temple is a prime place to visit in Srisailam along with Mallikarjun Temple & Srisailam Dam.  The complex is inside the Mallikarjuna Swamy temple campus. Bhramaramba literally translates into 'Mother of bees', and is a form of Goddess Shakti, who took the form of a bee to worship Lord Shiva in one of his forms, Mallikarjuna. The Temple is one of the eighteen Maha Shakti Peethas. Srisailam is the only place in India where a Jyothirlinga and Shakti Peetha is in one campus.

Timings: 5 AM to 3:30 PM & 6 PM to 10 PM
