Parshuram Temple

#5 of 10 things to do in Somnath

The Parshuram Temple is found two kilometers from Somnath Temple, in transit to Dehotsarg. Parshuram is known to have completed serious repentance for the wrongdoing of executing a large number as a Kshatriya warrior, here. The temple spot is encompassed by thick trees and weeds. The temple premises itself is encompassed by two or three water bodies. The primary sanctum has a dark Parshuram symbol holding his shastra hatchet, with icons of Kama and Kala other than it. There are different hallowed places of Ganesha, Hanuman and Parshuram's mom, Renuka.
