Gita temple is one of the sacred temples close-by the Somnath Jyotirlinga temple which is devoted to Lord Shri Krishna and the present structure of the temple was built in the time of 1970 by Birla Group. The Gita Mandir is popular for its delineation of the Holy book Bhagavad Gita and divine works of art of Lord Krishna. There are eighteen columns in the temple and on every column is engraved one part of Bhagavad Gita. According to folklore, Gita temple is built at the spot where Lord Krishna went for rest after his stroll from Bhalka Theerth to Triveni Theerth, before his adventure to Neej Dham. The temple is all around kept up, an extremely serene and blessed spot which opens at 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily.
