#2 of 7 things to do in Shivpuri

Located just 30 minutes away from Shivpuri, Madhav National Park is a major wildlife Park of the region and is spread over an area of 157 sq. km. The beautiful forest was once hunting ground for the Gwalior Royal Family and the British. The park is naturally blessed with exquisite green carpet grasslands and rejuvenating fresh air that has given birth to its rapid growth in wildlife. Some very interesting species can be found grazing here such as the Sloth Bear, Blackbuck, Chausingha, Chital, four horned Antelope, Sambar, and Langur. The environment and lakes in the park is also an attraction for birds like white breasted kingfisher, pond heron, stork, and sunbird.
