Shivagange is a mountain top with tallness of 1368 meters and Hindu journey focus situated close Dobbaspet, in Bangalore Rural region India. It is arranged 20 km from the town of Tumkur and 54 km from Bangalore. The hallowed mountain is formed as a shivalinga and a spring streams close privately called "Ganga", This place is having different temples, for example, Gangadhareshwara temple, Sri Honnadevi Temple, Olakal Teertha, Nandi Statue, Patalagange A chronicled shake statue of Nandi or Basavanna cut over a lofty shake is considered as an entrancing model in light of its limited area. Sharadambe sanctuary and a few theerthas, for example, Agasthya theertha, Kanva theertha, Kapila theertha, Pathala Gange and so on are found in this slope.

The place was under the control of Hoysala lords and the ruler Shanthala, spouse of Vishnuvardhana submitted suicide in this slope out of discouragement as she didn't bring forth a child and the place is recognized as Shantahala drop. The slope was braced amid sixteenth century by Shivappa Nayaka which is in ruins. The originator of Bangalore, Magadi Kempegowda likewise enhanced the fortification and kept a segment of his fortune in this post

The area is a popular site for rock climbing in the Karnataka state. The entire trail to the peak is well marked and the presence of man-made steps (often carved into the rocky landscape, but sometimes made from rocks) makes the trail suitable for beginners. There are frequent rest opportunities with stalls serving food and drinks. The vertical ascent is approximately 800 meters, much of which is climbed towards the end of the path where the trail becomes steep and narrow – safety rails are provided in such areas. Monkeys are pests in the zone, frequently grabbing possessions (particularly sustenance) from clueless trekkers.

There is no entry fee for the Shivaganga Hills. One can witness the beauty of this place for free. But some amount may be spent on reaching the place using taxis or cabs and there is also some parking fees if visitors bring their own vehicles.
