Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Kumararama Bheemeshwara Swamy Temple is historically prominent, as it was built by Chalukyas who reigned over this location. The full name for the temple is The Sri Chalukya Kumararama Sri Bhimeswaraswamy vari temple but known as just the Kumararama Bheemeshwara Swamy Temple. One of the prime attractions of the city, the temple is a marvellous piece of architecture, an excellent depiction of the Dravidian style of architecture. 

The temple is known for having 100 pillars. And the more interesting part is that these pillars support the entire structure of the temple, which comprises of two storeys. Like many other Shiv temple, it has The Nandi Bail guarding the shivling thus making the place even more pious. It has a lot of entrances and the main one is called the Surya Dwar. Along with Lor Shiv, his wife, Goddess Parvati is also worshipped here.

The best time to visit the place is during Maha Shivratri when the entire town seems to decorated and lit up to celebrated this festival with great feels and fervour.
