Wildlife, Vegetation, and Safaris


According to the recent Tiger census, Pench National Park houses an approximate number of 40 tigers. Apart from tigers, the recreation center also has 39 other species of mammals, including the 13 species of reptilians, and 3 more species of amphibians. The main attraction of the park is the Bengal Tiger, which is very commonly sighted in the National Park, since the last one year, when six new Bengal tiger cubs were born in the park. Some of the most often seen wildlife animals in the park are the sambar, wild boar, jackal, chital, nilgai, Indian leopard, wild dog, monkey, porcupine, striped hyena, fox, barking deer, gaur, Indian wolf, sloth bear, jungle cat, four-horned antelope and much more.

Other than mammals, the park is also well known for the migratory species of birds it harbors. According to an estimate made, it is said that the Pench National Park houses a whopping number of 210 species of birds. The nearest Airport to Pench National Park is the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, situated in Nagpur, and the Jabalpur Airport. Both airports receive regular flights from all over the country.

How to Reach by Train

The Seoni Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Pench national park. After reaching Seoni, you can easily book a taxi or take the local transport bus service to reach the National park, which is a journey of almost 205 km.

Pench National Park Itinerary

Day 1: Reach the Pench national park by taxi from the Seoni Railway Station. Check into your pre-booked resort and fresh up.
