#22 of 25 things to do in New delhi

Rajpath – as the very name recommends, is Delhi's 'Imperial Street'. Extending from the popular Rashtrapathi Bhavan through Vijay Chowk, India Gate to Delhi's National Museum, it is a stylized road for the Republic of India. Considered as one of India's significant lanes, it is flanked by trees, lakes and delightful green yards on either side. Every year on January 26, the yearly republic day march happens on this street. It is this street through which memorial service parades of prevalent Indian politicians pass.
