Neemrana is a place located in the state of Rajasthan and is located in the Alwar district. The place is located on the Delhi-Jaipur highway and is located at a distance of around 84 km from Gurgaon, 122 km from Delhi and 150 km deom Jaipur. The main attraction of the place is the Neemrana Fort and takes around one entire day for the tourists to explore the fort completely. Food

Rajasthan generally has North-Indian food which is very colourful and spicy. Since Rajathan is flooded equally with Indian as well as foreigners, the state serves both vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food. The streets are filled with various kinds of kacoris like Bajra Kachori, Mawa Kachori, Pyaaj Kachori and many other kinds. In the vegetarian dishes, the most popular dishes are Gatte ki Sabji and Dal Bati Churma, Mirchi Bada and in the non-vegetarian food, the most popular dish is Lal Maas. The food of the town is mostly spicy. The place is also famous for its Thali, a vegetarian dish which consists of around 10 dishes along with sweets, rice and other delicacies.

Neemrana does not have an airport of its own. The nearest airport is the Indira Gandhi International Airport, the Delhi Airport, which is located at a distance of around 109 km. There are taxi services available from the airport to reach Neemrana.

Neemrana does not have a railway station of its own. The nearest railway station is Rewari which is located at a distance of around38 km. The major railway station however is New Delhi Junction which is located at a distance of around 117 km.

There are state-run buses as well as those owned by private agencies that help people to reach Neemrana.

How to Reach by Road

Neemrana is located on the Delhi-Jaipur highway and is located at a distance of around 73 km from Alwar. The best way to travel to the place is by hiring a taxi or a cab.

How to travel within

People generally spend one whole day in the fort, however they book a cab or travel in their own car if they have to move from one place to the other within Neemrana.

Festivals

Alwar Festival is one of the main festivals of the entire Alwar district, which is a 3 day long festival held in the month of February or March. There are fancy dress competitions, flower show, elephant polo and fairs are also held during this time. The other festivals celebrated in this area are Jagannath Fair, Sawaan Teej, Bhartrihari, Matsya Utsav and Choohar Sidh. Gangaur Festival is held in the month of July-August. The Gangaur Festival is dedicated to Goddess Parvati when women wear traditional dress of Rajasthan and take out processions carrying images of the Goddess. It is an 18 day long festival which starts a day before Holi, the festival of colours.

Neemrana Itinerary

Day 1- After reaching Delhi airport, leave for Neemrana. Then leave for Bala Quila, Baori and Zip Lining.

Day 2- After breakfast leave for Neemrana Fort Palace. In the evening leave for shopping in Neemrana.

Day 3- After breakfast leave for Sariska National Park and then go for shopping at Neemrana.
