Rani Tal is a beautiful lake situated near Nahan. It is a great place to kick back and relax and is enjoyable for both kids and adults. The lake has numerous species of fish. Fishing here is prohibited but feeding the fish crumbs can be great fun! There is a garden near the lake where the tourists can lay out a picnic blanket and enjoy the weather while munching away snacks. The garden is full of green trees and flowers. It also has a fountain which adds to the beauty of the place. There is even a temple dedicated to goddess Lata Devi in the garden, which tourists can visit to pay their repect to the local gods. A statue of Lord Shiva stands tall at the edge of the lake. Legend behind the origin of the name of the lake says that that there is a small cave behind the lake which is connected to the King's palace. It was believed that the Queen used to come to the lake for morning baths.
