Maharajbagh Zoo is the central zoo of Nagpur and falls under the Central Zoo Authority of India. It was built on the grounds of the Bhonsle and Maratha rulers and is maintained by the Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth of Nagpur. There are Leopards, Lions, Tigers, Peacocks and several other animals. There is also a botanical garden known as Maharajbagh which has several types of shrubs, herbs aromatic plants etc.
