NAGGAR'S HISTORY LIVING IN THE MAGNIFICIENT NAGGAR CASTLE

Amidst the breathtaking hills encompassed by forests, the Naggar Castle is a brilliant ancient building which is composed of stone and wood. The castle was once the residence of Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu. Constructed in AD 1460, the castle is an extraordinary blend of European and Himalayan style of architecture. Adorned with beautiful fireplaces, fitting staircases, and luxurious stone and wood works bless the castle's galleries. In the year 1978, the castle was transformed into a rest house, and more latterly into a heritage hotel that is administered by Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC).
