It is home to Nilgiri Thar which is an endangered species. Neelakurinji flower blooms every 12 years here and the mountains will be covered in blue (Expected to bloom in 2018). A walk through the park is very relaxing and romantic. Varayadu ( Nilgiri Thars ) are very friendly with humans, you can spot them if you trek to Rajamala. Park will be crowded during the peak season, reach early in the morning or you will have to wait in queue for hours. Entry fee is Rs 55 per adult and it will. take about 6 hours to cover the park and return. You may also spot leopards, tigers, lion-tailed macaques in the park. The park will be closed in February - March every year.
