Dilwara Temples

#2 of 9 things to do in Mount abu

Located amidst the lush green Aravalli hills, the Dilwara temple is one of the most beautiful pilgrimage sites for Jains. Built by Vastupal Tejpal, the temple is renowned for its extravagant use of marbles and exquisite carvings. Even though the temple looks rigid from outside, it looks magnificent from inside with the stunning designs and patterns caved on roofs and walls.

The Dilwara temples are an amazing example of architecture marvel, making you spellbound with its beauty and simplicity. The temple complex includes five equally magnificent temples – Vimal Vasahi, Luna Vasahi, Pittalhar, Parshavanatha and Mahavir Swami Temple. Each of these shrines has Rang Mandap, a central hall, Garbhagraha and the sanctum. The brilliant craftsmanship, through exquisite equally upholding simplicity, the temple narrates the Jain values and principles.
