Padukone is a village located in the Udupi district of Karnataka, in the vicinity of the Beach town of Maravanthe. The local language of the village is Tulu and it experiences a humid climate. The place is surrounded by Bhatkal Taluk in the north, Udupi Taluk in the south, Hosanagara Taluk in the east and Sagar Taluk in the west. The most common transport of the local people are the boat rides from the Souparnika River, even though there are well connected roads. The village has been named after the popular Badminton player, Prakash Padukone, who was born in this village.
