#5 of 6 things to do in Ludhiana

The town of Alamgir has located around 10 km from the focal city of Ludhiana. The feature of this town is ShriManji Sahib Gurudwara, all the more ordinarily known as Alamgir Gurudwara. The Gurudwara reflects one more milestone in the life of the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh who remained here for quite a while, in the wake of leaving a spot called Machiwara. Guru Ji understood that this spot had no water, after which he shot a bolt in the ground, where a spring of water showed up. Later the spring was changed over into a tank, which is presently alluded as Tirsar – the Lake of the arrow. It is here that an old woman was restored of her sickness by taking a plunge in the tank as instructed by him. The Shahidi Divas of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji organized here draws in a lot of devotees from faraway places.
