The city Lucknow has an airport of its own and is alsowel connected by roads with other major cities of the country. It has two main railway stations, which helps it to be connected with other cities of the state and the country.
How to Reach by Flight
Lucknow’s airport is known as Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. It is an International airport and is operated by the Airports Authority of India. It is located at a distance of around 12km from the centre of the city. There are taxis, cabs and buses available to travel around the city.
How to Reach by Train
There are two main railway stations in the city of Lucknow. One of them is Lucknow Junction Railway Station, owned by Indian Railways, is located at Charbagh. It is a station for both express trains and passenger trains. The other station is Lucknow Charbagh Railway Station, located at Charbagh.

Lucknow can be reached by buses from several neighbouring cities. There are several state-run buses as well as the luxury buses owned by private agencies.

Lucknow Mahotsav, also knownas Lucknow festival, is a celebration for 10 days. It is organised every year in the month of January or February and involves a lot of art, craft, cuisines etc. Vrindavan Sharadotsav is also celebrated in Lucknow in the month of October. Ramadan is celebrated in the ninth month, according to the Islamic calendar, and it generally falls in the month of May or June. During this time, there are special prayers at the mosque and Muslims fast from dawn to sunset and ne f the most popular cuisine at that time of the year is Nihari. Other festivals like Diwali, Holi, Dussehra and other festivals are also celebrated in the city with equal enthusiasm and zeal.
Day 1- After reaching the airport, proceed towards the hotel. After breakfast leave for Bara Imambara, Chota Imambara, and British Residency and then spend some time shopping at the chowk.
Day 2- After breakfast leave for Dilkusha Kothi, Constantia, Firangi Mahal, Husainabad Clock Tower. Go for shopping, if required, or rest in the hotel.
Day 3- After breakfast proceed towards Dr. Ambedkar Park and then visit Hazratganj Market for shopping.
