Kutch Museum

#7 of 17 things to do in Kutch

The Kutch museum is the oldest museum in Gujarat, and some of its exhibits date back to 1st century AD, including the Kshatrapa incriptions and the Kutchi inscriptions. A part of this museum is dedicated to the indeginious tribs of kutch, their artworks, lifestyles, and handicrafts. Some of the finest forms of embroidery, pottery and artworks can be seen preserved here. Though a visit here is not enough to get to know the tribal lfe of kutch, one would definitly enjoying knowing more about the history from here as a preface to the visit to the tribal villages of kutch.
