The Himalayan National Park is a national park located in the Kullu region in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It was established in the year 1984 and has around 375 fauna species, which includes 31 mammals, 181 birds, 127 insects, 3 reptiles etc. The national park is protected under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972. The park has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year 2014. The park houses animals like blue sheep, snow leopard, Himalayan brown bear and musk deer. The park has an endless variety of fauna, which includes spruces, horse chestnuts, alpine herbs and junipers. The park has also been listed by World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) in its Global 200 analysis of critical ecosystems.
