Jyotiba Temple is situated in Kolhpur and is a holy site for the Hindus. The deity of the temple, Jyotiba, is considered to be the incarnation of three gods, Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesha. An annual fair takes place in the temple when thousands of people visit the temple and the entire mountain turns pink due to gulal. It is believed by the locals that the three gods took the form o f Jyotiba to kill the demon Ratnasur. Since the temple is situated at a height f 3124 feet above the sea level, it provides a beautiful view. The temple was constructed by Ranoji Shinde in the year 1730.
