Karla and Bhaja Caves
#15 of 20 things to do in KhandalaHop on the magic carpet and get ready to time travel as the caves of Bhaja and Karla take you back 2000 years in time. The Bhaja caves are a group of 22 rock-cut Buddhist caves and the Karla caves are the older and smaller group of caves. The stupas that were seen as relics of resident monks and the Chaityagriha are the prayer hall are the major attractions of the caves. This was the world of gracious Buddhist monks who opened their doors for the weary traders of the Deccan.
