Suru Basin

#3 of 6 things to do in Kargil

Suru Valley, as the vast majority of the remainder of the state, is a spellbindingly lovely valley scattered by the Suru River, a noteworthy tributary of the River Indus. Stretching out from Kargil to Panzella glacier, this ripe canyon is developed more than some other area in Ladakh. The magnificence of the Suru valley ends up obvious in spots like Panikhar and Parachik where you will see, in the last spot, grass turning a brilliant, intense corroded orange against the background of bone-dry mountain ranges. Venturing out to Suru and Zanskar valley, however, can be somewhat inconvenient but it is a voyage spread out with the most awe-inspiring of perspectives and landscapes. Both these valleys go under one of the least visited spots in India because of the dirt track like roads.
