Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary and an estuary. It is India’s largest stretch of mangrove forests that has 24 mangrove tree species and 120 bird species. The sanctuary is a home to critically endangered species like white-backed vulture and the long billed vulture. It is a part of the Godavari estuary. Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary has thirty five species of plans that belong to twenty four families. The sanctuary is a home to many golden jackal, sea turtle, fishing cat etc. The different kinds of birds are pied kingfisher, reef heron, night heron, grey heron, sea gulls, little stint etc.
