Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary

#3 of 8 things to do in Jamshedpur

A 195 sqkm of forest devoted for the habitation of some of the unique flora and fauna of eastern India. The Dalma wildlife sanctuary is located in the Dalma mountain ranges, about 13 km from the city. Asian elephants, monkeys, barking deer, and leopards roam this sanctuary like in their natural homes with all the freedom. A trek through this wilderness is as close as you can get to the real wildlife of the region. A Shiva temple and the small bamboo cottages within this sanctuary add to its beauty.
