The third largest national park in the country, Namdhapa National Park is one of the most diverse national parks. Namdapha is a combination of two Singpho words that mean 'Forest Keeping'. It has very dense virgin forests with some of the rarest species present here. The altitude here varies from 200 meters to 4500 meters since it is home to many endangered species. You can spot many animals such as Snow Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Leopard etc. Namdhapa National Park is located at a mere distance of 160 km from  Dibrugarh, the capital of Assam. It is well connected to other roads so travel is never a problem. Breed of Tigers, Leopards, Black Bear, Indian Elephants etc is also available here. The view from the park is amazing and breathtaking. There is a birdlife sanctuary that also has many migratory birds present here.
