The Periyar National Park is one of the most bio-diverse zones in the entire world and is considered as the most carefully protected reserve. Renowned for its appeal covered with lush greenery, the park is the home to abounding notable species, including the royal tigers and grand elephants apart from other reptiles, fishes and birds. This National Park is a marvellous blend of nature, adventure and fascination. The Periyar National Park is dispersed over an area of 257 square miles. Rivers Pamba and Periyar flow merrily through the park. Tourists from all over the world come to the park to revel in the beauty of the place. 

The major temptations at the national park are, boating at the glittering lake, trekking through the thick woods, or quietly lying back to find an animal or two. This place is the perfect holiday destination.
