Honnemaradu Tourism

Honnemaradu is a small village, situated on the backwaters of the river Sharavathi. It derives its name from the 'Honne' tree. However, its name translates to 'Golden Lake'. Its main highlight is the Honnemaradu Reservoir, which also has a small island in the middle. Being such an ideal spot, it attracts a lot of campers, especially from the nearby places, as still a lot of people outside Karnataka don't know about the existence of this place.

Honnemaradu is visited mostly by nature lovers who wish to be connected to nature for a while without any interruptions. It does the job perfectly, as the place is quite small and has no distractions whatsoever.

People having an eye for adventure are bound to love this amazingly unique place.

An Adventure Hub

A surreal village, Honnemaradu is definitely an adventure hub. From fascinating treks to some of the most beautiful waterfalls of the country, the Dabbe and Jog falls, to rafting and Kayaking, Honnemaradu has a lot to offer. Though kayaking is not allowed without the supervision of a guide, it can be definitely enjoyed after following certain rules.

It is also quite a paradise for bird watchers, as, near the reservoir, there are a lot of birds to watch out for.

In short, it is quite an exciting place for people who just want to spend some time thinking about stuff and want to get back to a simple lifestyle for some time.
