Located 232 km from Harsil, Jolly Grant airport is the nearest airport. There are daily flights connected to Delhi from this airport. From the Jolly Grant airport, you can also avail taxis to Harsil.

How to Reach by Train

Rishikesh railway station, located at a distance of 215 km from Harsil is the nearest railway station. This station has good connectivity with the major railway stations across India. You can avail the taxi services to reach Harsil from here. 

How to Reach by Bus

There are regular buses from New Delhi to Harsil that are available from ISBT Kashmiri Gate in Delhi.


How to Reach by Road

Being situated in NH108 connecting to Gangotri in Uttarkashi district is serviced with good motorable vehicles.

How to travel within

There are taxis available to commute within Harsil that is the most convenient option. However, trekking to the various destination is the best option there is as some of the roads leading to these destinations may not be motorable.

Spiritual abode of Harsil

Blessed with the mighty Gangotri herself, Harsil takes pride in her presence. The Mukhwas village in Harsil is a revered spot for its religious attributes. Another such place is the Sattal village that houses Viswanathan temple. The main temple of Guptkashi is dedicated to Lord Shiva who is considered the Lord of the Universe. 


The Char Dham route, that starts from Yamunotri-Gangotri -Kedarnath is a famous route that pays homage at Badrinath. The Char Dham pilgrimage is a well respected and sacred site in India and witnesses many devotees who come to visit here
