Surrounded by four hills named Harihareshwar, Harshinachal, Bramhadri, and Pushpadri. It is usually called as Southern Kashi because of its temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is well connected by good highways from Mumbai, Pune, other neighboring cities and major towns of Maharashtra.
Auto rickshaws are also the main mode of local transport in Harihaeshwar. Since a lot of tourist locations are nearby, a lot of prefer walking and visiting the places.
