Pobitora or Pabitora Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife reserve in Assam which is located in the district Morigaon which is about 30 km east of Guwahati. The Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is about 48 km by road from Guwahati.It has a area of about 76 hecres and is a place for 102 Rhinoceros together with some wild boars and wild buffaloes with different species of birds and rhinos. Views of this amazing wildlife sanctuary will make you completely nostalgic.Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary  is running a successful Rhino breeding program which is running under Indian Government. Places to see in pobitora include Haduk Hanging bridge and Garanga Beel pond. Elephant rides and jeep safaris are major activities which are held by management.It is a small, heavenly getaway of raw wilderness and greenery one must visit this place if you have never seen a One- Horned Indian Rhinoceros.
