Local Cuisine
The typical cuisine of Gulmarg is rice based with local specialities like Dum Aloo and Chaman with fried paneer in the thick sauce. Rogan Josh, meatballs in gravy, is a very famous non-vegetarian dish throughout Kashmir. A trip to Gulmarg is incomplete without tasting the Kashmiri Tea called Kahwa.

Day1
After reaching Gulmarg, head to Cable station. The Cable car from Gulmarg to Kongdori will take you up to an altitude of 3099.6 m. After the lunch at Kongdori, head to Apharwat by the phase two in Gondola ride. On the way, you will pass through the beautiful Khilanmarg. Once you reach Apharwat, you can enjoy the beauty of Apharwat peak and the Alpather Lake. After this, you can go back to the hotel via Gondola and take rest.
Day 2
If you are interested in adventures, this day can be spent skiing. Head to Apharwat, Khilanmar or Kondgdori peak for skiing. There is no need to worry even if you are just a beginner, there are a lot of qualified skiing instructors to help you out. If not up for skiing, you can always opt out for trekking. You can trek from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg (5kms), Khilanmarg to Alpather Lake (8 km) etc. After the hectic day of skiing or trekking, you can rest for the day back in the hotel.
Day 3
Start early morning and then visit the Maharani temple. After this, you can visit the St. Mary's Church followed by Baba Reshi's Tomb. head for lunch at any of the famous restaurants in Gulmarg. After the lunch, you can head to Kanchenjunga Museum followed by a visit to the Governor's house. You can spend the evening by taking a stroll around the Golf course and then heading back to the hotel.
