Anjuna beach

#25 of 37 things to do in Goa

Located north of Baga and Calangute, adjacent to Chapora fort, Anjuna beach is famous for its scenic coconut trees and white soft sands. It is a favorite haunt of the hippies who used to organize the famous rave beach parties in the late 1950s to mid 1960s. It is this variety of activities such as bungee jumping from an 80 feet tower, adventure sports like paragliding and windsurfing that makes Anjuna Beach one of the most popular beaches in Goa. A flea market is held on every Wednesday in the Anjuna beach for all the shopperholics. For all the food lovers Anjuna Beach has plenty of options; one can try delicious homemade fare at Baba Au Rhum, some mouth watering burgers at Burger Factory, or hearty Italian at Basilico. Also for beachfront dining with pumping music and Goan cocktails head to the famous 'Curlies' right on the beach. This is one of the craziest beaches in Goa and is a must visit.
