The aroma of incense sticks, the ringing of the temple bells, the tranquality of the rivers and the very many mytical tales to be heard, Dwarka city offers you all this and more.

Dwarka, the mesmerizing kingdom of Lord Krishna, is located in the state of Gujarat, in northwestern India. It is one of the top-most Chardhams (four seats/abodes) and one of the Saptapuris (seven most sacred Hindu cities). it is not only famous for its temples but also its exotic marine life, water sports and camping sites.

 Dwarka, being a small city, is hub for both piligrims as well as those looking for some adventures. The best time to visit would be during Janmashtami (the anniversary of Krishna's birth) as the city seems no less than a celebration.

Dwarka is easily accesible through air, rail, and road.

How to Reach by Flight

The nearest Airport is at Rajkot which is 225 km or Jamnagar which is 121 km from Dwarka. Spicejet, Go air and Jet Airways are regular flights to these places. 

How to Reach by Train

Dwarka railway station located in the Ahmedabad - Okha rail route and is linked to other main railheads of the regions. Railway station is located almost 2 km from main Temple and has direct trains to Mumbai and few other cities in India.

How to Reach by Bus

Dwarka has a well developed state highway connecting Dwarka to all other cities of Gujarat such as Jamnagar, Surat, Ahmedabad, Vadodara etc, and even cities of many neighboring states. Regular buses; both public as well as private buses, run between these cities and Dwarka and at frequent intervals. 

How to Reach by Road

Dwarka has excellent road connectivity with all other major cities of Gujarat.

How to travel within

You can find a number of Taxis, rickshaws and auto-rickshaws in cheaper prices to travel around Dwarka.

Dwarka Itinerary

Day 1

- Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, witness one of the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines

- Gomti Ghat

- Next, Beyt Dwaraka

- Break for lunch in any of the nearby restaurants.

- Resume with Dwarkadheesh temple

- Continue by heading to the Dwarka beach

- Followed by Dwarka Lighthouse


Day 2

- Post breakfast, head to Gopi Talav

- Next, Gita Temple.

- Break for lunch.

- End the trip with a visit to Rukmani Temple
