Ichai Ghosh's Temple

#3 of 8 things to do in Durgapur

The estimated 800 year old Ichai Ghosh's Temple said to have been built by South Indian Kings to earn the God's goodwill, is located around Deul Park on the banks of the Ajoy River. The temple has an idol of the Hindu God, Lord Shiva. The place is not maintained properly, hence quite dirty, unclean and probably not too safe to go inside. But one can sure enjoy the view, ancient architecture and the ambience from outside. Visiting the temple does not require an entry fee and it remains open nearly all day long. Ichai Ghosh's temple is also popular by the name of Rahreshwar Shibtola.
