Kamakhya Temple

#1 of 11 things to do in Dispur

A standout amongst the most popular religious destinations in Guwahati is the Kamakhya Temple, which is committed to Goddess Kamakhya. It is said to be one of the most renowned Shakti Pithas and is situated on the western part of the city. The temple envelops ten Mahavidyas and conveys high significance. The sanctum has experienced a ton of remodels and is kept up pleasantly by the specialists. It has four Garbagrihas and three mandapas, and its dividers are enhanced with a few models. There is no symbol of the Goddess inside the temple rather an image of the yoni of the divinity is being revered here.
