Namgyal Monastery, also known as Dalai Lama’s Temple, is located in Mcleodganj. It is the home of the Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama and is the largest Tibetan temple outside Tibet. It was built in the 16th century by the second Dalai Lama so that the monks could assist Dalai Lama in public religious affair. The monastery has a serene environment all around and attracts a large number of tourists every year.
