Around 21 km away from Dhanushkodi falls the beautiful island of Pamban that is full of historical and cultural significance. The island is a paradise for nature lover filled with beautiful beaches, lined trees of coconut and palms along with historical landscapes and famous pilgrimages. This famous holiday spot houses the famous Ramanathaswamy temple that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Also, one of the longest and first ever sea bridge of India, known as the Pamban can be found here which was built in 1914 and connects the mainland with Pamban Island, the bridge has a spectacular view of the Bay of Bengal on both sides while crossing it.
