Located at 60 km away from Dehradun City is the famous Rajaji National Park also known as Rajaji Tiger Reserve. Spread at an area of 820 km it falls under the foothills of Shivalik Range and has become the second largest Tiger Reserve of Uttarakhand. Abundantly rich with a wide variety of flora and fauna, it is especially famous for its Asian elephants and tigers.  Along with it, tourist can spot King Cobra, Panther, Bear, Chital, Sambar, Wild Boar, Kakar, Python, Monitor Lizard, Wild Cats and many species of migratory birds. Jeep Safaris and Elephant Safaris are provided by Forest Departments to explore the wilderness and forest area.
