Bakrota Hills or Upper Bakrota

#6 of 13 things to do in Dalhousie

Bakrota Hills is one of the main attractions in Dalhousie. Especially beautiful in the winter, covered with snow and ice, Bakrota is a popular trekking spot, even though it is just a few kilometres drive away from Dalhousie town. The hills offer a refreshing and soothing view over the snow-capped mountains of the Himalayas. Bakrota is at a height of about 2085 metres from the sea level. Tourists frequent this place, especially during the Winter, to take in the pristine view of nature all around. The rays of filtering through the Deodar and Pine trees are exceptionally beautiful to watch. Bakrota is just 5km away from Dalhousie by road but most people prefer to walk to take in the mesmerising views of the Upper Bakrota.
