The Gawilgarh Fort is situated on the Chikhladhara Plateau and was set up in the era of 1000 years back, at some point around the Twelfth Century. Back in that time, the King of Gawali had built this spot. The Bara Darwaza at the passage of the fortification makes for a glorious watch, standing tall as the essential source of the section to the stronghold. With 3 entryways, an internal and an external post, the Gwaligarh fortification is known for its distinction in architecture. It is one of the main three forts in Chikhaldara with 2 lakes, lovely carvings and splendid display of old canons as well, this spot is perfect to encounter the Nizam time frame and furthermore for picnics.
