Kalika Mata Temple is the most visited temple in Champaner-Pavagadh. It is on top of a hill and people communicate to this temple via a monorail ropeway. This ropeway is said to be one of the highest ropeways in the country. Its length is 740 meters and can carry 1200 people per hour. Another option of reaching this temple is by taking a flight of stairs surrounded by thick dense forest. This temple has three images of goddesses, the central goddess is Kalika Mata, with Kali on the right and Bahuchara Mata on the left. It is the third of the Shakti Peethas of Gujarat and is known for tantric worship. A fair is held here during Navratri that gathers thousands of devotees to this temple where they offer prayers.
