Rasmancha in Bishnupur, West Bengal is one such recorded structure. Set up in 1600 AD by the King Hambhir, the Rasmancha was utilized to show all the local icons in broad daylight during the Ras Festival which ceased in 1932. The prominent celebration has been moved to grounds close to a Durga temple. Rasmancha temple remains on a raised square laterite plinth with a pyramidal superstructure. Three progressive circulatory exhibitions, The curves of which are enhanced with earthenware lotus themes. Numerous pictures from the neighboring temples were brought at the season of Ras Festival and showed in the displays for people in general.
